      Is something like bulk composite sampling more viable to cover more than just a single locations (ie. As opposed to sampling a door knob you sample a few spots to clear a room?)

      Yes this is possible, the only downside is if there is a positive sample then with a composite you will not know where it exactly came from. I would generally keep composite samples to a minimum and from not more than 3 areas.
