# How Much Asbestos Material Is Needed for Different Bulk Materials?

**Asbestos in Concrete** -  for PLM analysis 1 gram; Milling 250cc or 8.5oz

**Asbestos in Asphalt** - must submit the entire thickness of the asphalt-

10 grams if the sample includes the aggregate.

If sample does not include aggregate 0.5g minimum can be submitted.   

**Asbestos in Vermiculite** - 250cc or 8.5 oz

**Asbestos in Soil** - 250cc or 8.5 oz

**Asbestos in Rock** - 

              12-16 oz for rocks that is \>1/2 inch

              8 oz for rocks that are ¼ inch or less

              Rocks cannot exceed 3 inches
