# Are we able to meet the EPA required reporting limit of 50% of the action level for lead in dust wipes?

## Lead & Metals/Chemistry/Industrial Hygiene

| Yes, for the current EPA lead action level for floors of 10 micrograms **per sq. ft.** and our network normalized value for **FLAA** is 10 micrograms **per wipe**. It is therefore necessary to submit a wipe area of 288 sq. inches, or 2 sq. ft. to achieve an RL of 5 micrograms per sq. ft. if selecting the FLAA method. Note that the ICP method has a detection limit of 1 microgram per wipe and thus may be a suitable alternative if it is not possible to collect a larger wipe area. |
